A.H.S. Chartwell's Point of Service

Allentown High School will be implementing the FastLane computerized cafeteria system by Horizon Software International.  The first day of service will be November 1st.   During the first few days the cafeteria line may be slower than usual until we all get used to the new system.  Within a week, speed will be back to or even faster than normal.

Each child in the school will have an ID Card with their personal bar code.  Every student will be required to scan his or her ID card at the register, even if there is no money on the account.  Handling cash and making change slows down the lines.  When most students have money in their account, the lines move faster.  The student can bring in cash or a check to put on the account, or they can still pay cash without using the card to pay.  However, we encourage parents to prepay money into their child’s account.  The student’s account is divided into two options: a Meal Account (money reserved for meals only) and a General Account (money that can be used for meals and/or snack items).  When sending in money by check or cash, please include the student’s name and grade on the envelope.  Also, please indicate how much of the money should go into the student’s Meal Account and how much should go into the student’s General Account.
