Dear UFRSD Community,
As I shared last week, the UFRSD has been awarded awarded Preschool Education Aid (PEA) from the
State of NJ in the amount of $1,037,725. Below is important information for you to be aware of if you are interested in enrolling your child in Pre-K this year.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The 2024-2025 grant is for 65 general education students in our Pre-K program. We currently have 27 students enrolled in our program and 18 students on our waitlist from the 2024 spring enrollment period.
Two classrooms will be added this year, one will be at Kiddie Academy in Upper Freehold and one at Newell Elementary School. During the application process, the State gives districts additional points on the application for using provider sites within the community. The State funding for our district was
awarded with an understanding that there would be a class at Kiddie Academy.
Over the next five years, additional seats and funding will be added to the program.

TIMELINE
Monday, October 21, 2024 at 12:00 pm (noon) - Sign up for Pre-K! There will be a link on our main district website (www.ufrsd.net) to a Google Form. This link will become live at noon. Eligible students will be given a seat on a first come, first serve basis.
Wednesday, October 23 - Friday, November 1, 2024 - The district will reach out to all parents to make them aware of their status. Appointments to finalize registration will be made by the District registrar.
November 11, 2024 - Families will receive their child’s placement and transportation information.
January 2, 2025 - Start date for new students. Transportation will begin for students currently in the program who live more than two miles from their school placement.
