Early Childhood Enrollment

Program Overview

The Upper Freehold Regional Public School District PreSchool Program is a comprehensive program that services typically developing and special needs 3- and 4-year-old children. Programs will be held at Newell Elementary Schools. Placement of typically developing children into the program is based on the needs of each student and current openings. Children with special needs are placed in the program through identification, evaluation, and eligibility procedures as outlined in New Jersey Administrative Code. Tuition-paying and low-income eligible children are placed in the program through an application and a lottery procedure. The goal of our program is to provide students with an excellent early childhood learning experience.

The Board has decided in order to keep the transportation costs contained, students who are currently in the 3 year old program and currently have subscription or other transportation will continue through next year in the 4 year old program (essentially be grandfathered in).  However, anyone currently in the program who did not have transportation and anyone new in the program will not have transportation available to them unless their IEP specifies the need.
